There's a $0.20 listing fee per item listed, a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus shipping and gift wrap, and payment processing of about 3% + $0.25 in Australia. Worked example

An A$40 item with A$6 shipping (no offsite ad): transaction fee = 46 × 0.065 = A$2.99; processing = 46 × 0.03 + 0.25 = A$1.63; listing = A$0.20. That's A$4.82 in fees, plus 10% GST (A$0.48) = A$5.30. If the item cost A$12 and shipping cost A$5, profit = 46 − 12 − 5 − 5.30 = A$23.70.
