How eBay Motors fees work

eBay Motors splits its pricing in two. Whole vehicles, cars, trucks, motorcycles and powersports, are charged a flat fee when they sell rather than a percentage, so a $30,000 truck and an $8,000 sedan pay the same vehicle fee. Cars and trucks are commonly around $125, with lower flat fees for motorcycles and powersports. There can also be an insertion fee and optional listing upgrades.

Parts and accessories work like standard eBay: a percentage final value fee (about 13.6%) on the item plus shipping, plus the $0.30 per-order fee. Use the listing-type switch above to price either one.

The formula

vehicle: fees = flat vehicle fee + listing upgrades
parts: fees = (item + shipping) × FVF% + $0.30
profit = sale − your cost − fees

Worked example

Selling a car for $8,000 with a $125 flat fee and no upgrades: eBay Motors fees are $125. If the car cost you $6,000, profit = 8000 − 6000 − 125 = $1,875. A $200 part with $20 shipping at 13.6% would instead cost 220 × 0.136 + 0.30 = $30.22.

2026 eBay Motors fees (typical)

ListingFee
Cars & Trucks~$125 flat
Motorcycles~$70 flat
Powersports~$50 flat
Other vehicles~$50 flat
Parts & Accessories~13.6% + $0.30
