The pound is defined as exactly 0.45359237 kilograms, and an ounce is 1/16 of a pound. All the factors below come from those two definitions.

Strictly, kilograms and grams measure mass (how much matter something contains), while weight is the force gravity exerts on it. On Earth the two are used interchangeably, and kitchen and bathroom scales are calibrated in mass units. On the Moon your mass would stay the same but you would weigh about one-sixth as much; try the weight on other planets calculator.

Multiply kilograms by 2.20462. For example, 70 kg × 2.20462 = 154.3 lb.
