Depop's pricing has been in flux. Historically UK sellers paid a 10% selling fee plus payment processing of about 2.9% + £0.30. Depop has since been reducing or removing seller fees in several markets and shifting costs to a buyer fee charged at checkout. Because the model varies by account and keeps changing, this calculator makes the selling fee editable, so you can set it to 10%, to 0%, or to whatever your Depop app currently shows.
Optional Depop Boost promotes a listing for an extra percentage (around 8%) that only applies when a boosted item sells.
A £40 item with free postage, 10% selling fee, no boost: selling fee = £4.00; processing = 40 × 0.029 + 0.30 = £1.46; total = £5.46. If it cost £10 and postage £3, profit = 40 − 10 − 3 − 5.46 = £21.54. Set the selling fee to 0% to model the buyer-fee approach.
Payment processing (~2.9% + £0.30) plus any selling fee your account shows, and optional Boost.
Depop has been changing its model and shifting toward buyer fees; set the selling fee to match your current rate.
Yes, processing and any selling fee apply to the item plus the postage you charge.
Optional promotion for extra visibility, around 8% of the sale, charged only if the boosted item sells.
Keep item and postage costs low and only Boost items where the extra visibility pays off.
